The Applejacks at The 76 Club
The group were formed in Solihull, Birmingham in 1961 and were originally an instrumental band called The Crestas. They signed for Decca Records in 1963 and released their first single, Tell Me When, in February 1964. This single was a massive success and reached number 7 in the UK charts. Lennon and McCartney provided The Applejacks with their second hit Like Dreamers Do which also got into the top twenty. WHERE ARE THEY NOW
When Megan Davies left the band she became a nurse and hospital administrator for the NHS.
In December 2010 The Applejacks reformed for a concert for charity.
