BAND INFORMATION

Gene Vincent was born Vincent Eugene Craddock in Norfolk, USA.

In 1956 who wrote and sung the legendary track “Bee-Bop-A-Lula which is classed as one of the best rock n roll tracks of all time with his band The Blue Caps. In 1960 Vincent was involved in a traffic accident that killed Eddie Cochrane. They were ion a taxi in Chippenham, Vincent broke ribs and collarbone but Cochrane was thrown from the taxi and died of head injuries.

Ritchie Blackmore was in Gene Vincent’s backing band, Outlaw, in 1963.


WHERE ARE THEY NOW?

Gene Vincent died of a ruptured stomach ulcer in 1971 aged 36.
